Don’t let your flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) funds go to waste. You can put your FSA or HSA dollars towards your or your child’s orthodontic treatment at Fresh Orthodontics.
To pay for orthodontic treatment with FSA or HSA funds, you can often simply use your FSA or HSA card just as you would any other credit card. Other times, depending on your plan, you may have to submit a claim to be reimbursed. The team at Fresh Orthodontics will provide you with a receipt or any of the details you need to complete your claim.
Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA) are accounts that let you set aside tax-free money for medical and dental expenses, including orthodontic treatment. An FSA comes as part of an employer’s benefits package. If you don’t use your FSA dollars by the end of the year, you lose them, unless your employer has a rollover option. With an HSA, the money does not expire.
If you don’t know whether or not you have an FSA or HSA, you’ll want to ask your employer or insurance company.
FSA and HSA dollars can be used for any type of orthodontic treatment, including braces, Invisalign and other appliances.
If your benefits expire at the end of the year, you’ll have until December 31 to use your FSA funds. However, it’s a good idea to check with your employer for the details of your specific plan.
If your dental insurance covers orthodontics, you can use your insurance and your FSA or HSA money to make a huge dent in your out-of-pocket costs.
Absolutely! At your complimentary consultation with our Park Slope orthodontist, we’ll verify your insurance coverage and let you know the exact cost of your orthodontic treatment. You can put your FSA or HSA dollars toward the out-of-pocket portion of your treatment. If there’s a remaining balance, you can pay it in low monthly installments over time with an in-office, no-interest financing plan.
